NOAH CALVERT

HEAD COACH

Noah is entering his third season as Head Coach with Waterford after spending 3 seasons as an Assistant Coach and 4 seasons as a Swimmer Coach. Currently, he is also a coach with the Lexington Dolphins. During Noah's 7-year stint as a swimmer for the Waverunners, he won MOWSC High Point Runner-Up 3 times and was the 2018 Conference Champion in 50 Backstroke.

In addition to swimming for Waterford, Noah also swam for Highbridge Aquatics from 2012-2016 and Kentucky Aquatics from 2016-2018.

Outside of swimming, Noah is currently working as a graphic designer and web designer for SkySystemz and theBulletin.

JULIA PEOPLES

ASSISTANT COACH

Julia has been a part of the Waterford Waverunners Swim Team for the last 18 seasons. She was a swimmer for 13 seasons, a swimmer coach for three of them, and is now set to start her fifth season as an assistant coach. As an assistant coach, alongside Coach Morgan, she has focused on developing the 6 & under and Mini-Waverunner practices. 


When Julia is not on the pool deck, she attends Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She will graduate this May with a major in Elementary and Special Education, and will move back to Lexington to begin her full-time teaching career! 


Julia is so excited about this season! Her favorite part of being a Waverunner is the opportunity to work with the best swimmers, parents, and coaches! Go Waverunners!!

Lili Elayi

ASSISTANT COACH

Lili is entering her second season as an assistant coach for Waterford after being a swimmer coach for one year. She swam for Waterford for two years and has been a part of the Man O' War Swim Conference for 12 years. She won multiple Kentucky State Championships as well as High Point in MOWSC 8 different years. She also medaled at Futures National Championship. 

Lili has been a swimmer for 15 years in total and attended Lafayette High School. Currently, she swims DI for Rice University where she swims butterfly and sprint freestyle. She is studying computer science. 

Lili's favorite part of coaching is the family community, and she loves helping and watching the kids improve and have fun. 

NARA LEE

ASSISTANT COACH

Nara is heading into her third season as an Assistant Coach at Waterford. She has been a part of Waterford for four years, one swimming and three coaching.

She swam for Kentucky Aquatics for 12 years and attended West Jessamine High School. Currently, she is a third-year student at Case Western Reserve University studying Neuroscience on a Pre-Dental track. She also competes on the Case Western Swim and Dive team and swims sprint fly and free. 

Her favorite parts of coaching for Waterford include hanging with the kids and Conference weekend.

MORGAN CHAPURAN

ASSISTANT COACH

Morgan is entering her 20th season as a Waverunner! She swam for Waterford for 14 years, was a swimmer coach for 3 seasons and is entering her 6th season as an assistant coach. She also swam for the Lexington Dolphins for 10 years and then for Birmingham-Southern College. In college, she competed in the 100 & 200 butterfly and was a part of 4 Conference Championship titles. She was also named to the All-Conference Honor Roll all 4 years and was her team's 4-time belly flop champion. 

Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kentucky. She will graduate this August and begin a career in pediatric neurology. 

Her favorite part of coaching is the family environment at Waterford that keeps kids coming back every year!
